Parliament is an initiative that brings together students from schools across India to discuss, debate, design and enact “law” in a simulated parliamentary session. Shikhsha Pe Charcha offers school students, for the first time, the possibility of conveying their ideas to the law-makers of the land, as all legislation generated during a session is reviewed by Members of the Lok Sabha. Yuva Soch Army has a strong policy-learning component. Students will meet with and interact with key national political leaders, policymakers, and policy experts.
The scale and nation-wide breadth of Shikhsha Pe Charcha are unprecedented. Students will get to meet and network with peers from across the country. Furthermore, Shikhsha Pe Charcha is conceived, developed, and executed by school students for school students. It is backed up by an expert mentor, Yuva Soch Army ORGANISATION for Contemporary Studies, which helps in planning and executing the sessions and the mission of Yuva Soch Army.
Since it's inception in 2020, Shikhsha Pe Charcha has hosted 6 sessions and has been a platform for over 1000 students from all across India to voice their opinion on critical issues. Using the medium of the youth parliament, we have raised a number of issues such as Section 377, Right to Privacy and Electoral Reforms to Members of Parliament
