Social Internship Program is an initiative of the parent organization wherein we are offering an internship program for undergraduate and graduate students. This will be an exclusive opportunity for college students to participate in a variety of our social initiatives such as:
Classes for the underprivileged children in orphanages covering academic and extra-curricular activities Upliftment of slums through vocational training, medical camps, surveys, etc. Fund raising events like marathons and other awareness drives Prison rehabilitation programs and much more We wish to provide a platform for young and enthusiastic students to be a part of the social change that we intend to bring about in the life of the underprivileged. This program will not only help to inculcate human values in students but will also make them socially responsible individuals.
As an initiative to provide education to the underprivileged, we intend to create a sustainable teaching structure in orphanages/shelters where the children as well as the youth can be uplifted and motivated towards a better future. From teaching basic subjects to extra-curricular activities, we aim to nurture young minds in a holistic manner.
At present, our interns are teaching English, Art & Craft, Dance & Fitness and Soft Skills to around 100 students in an orphanage in Delhi.
Our objective is to make a difference in the lives of the people dwelling in the slums of Delhi and the suburbs for their overall development and upliftment. We aim at providing practical and concrete solutions in slums after surveying and studying the needs and requirements of the slum-dwellers. Some of the other activities would include:
We look forward to initiating various other social activities by involving more and more youngsters.

The interns had to clean and beautify one of the prime locations in Delhi NCR. Outerms Line Mukhrji Nagar – GTB Nagar was chosen as the activity ground for this project. The interns started with a basic cleanliness drive, jumping right in and cleaning the mess. While they were cleaning they also responsibly stopped any passerby from urinating in the open and also collected fine from quite a lot of people who were found breaking the rules.

The third leg of the internship involved the interns to be involved as a group in imparting education to underprivileged kids. Five Center were chosen for this project and the interns had to come up with innovative ways to teach and add some value to the kids studying in these. Creativity and skill came together as the interns had to assess the situation in the schools allotted to them and come up with innovative ideas and modules to teach these kids and bring some value addition in their lives. This leg of the internship was very enriching and challenging for the interns. It put them in the shoes of the teacher and they indeed learnt a lot.

Here the the interns took the message of mental health and social responsibility to urban youth. From their friends to people in their neighbour hood to random people on the streets, the interns went all out in spreading word about the Youth Empowerment and Skills workshop that teaches to eliminate stress through practical tools and techniques. They got about 2000 happiness surveys filled educating the urban youth about the importance of being happy, responsible and strong individuals in the society and bring about a change through that. This resulted in about 100 youth doing the Youth Empowerment and Skills workshop organised by the interns.
